Re: 2018 Oscar Shouldabeens

So here's my take on what, in my opinion, was a fantastic year for films. How fantastic? I might take my entire top ten from 2018 over anything from 2017. (Maybe not...I'd have to do some rewatching to know for sure, but it's close.) Best Film: 1- First Man But First Man 's screenplay doesn't even ...

Re: Best Cinematography 1959

Re: Felicity Huffman Criminally Charged

That reminds me of this funny segment from the old TV series Get Smart:

Ironically, the sound of the clip is somewhat poor.

So, in this instance, sound mixing would involve the volume, pitch, and timbre of Mercury's voice; but, sound editing would involve how Mercury's voice matches Malek's lips?

Re: 91st Oscars: Sound Editing

So, is anyone up to explaining the difference between Sound Mixing and Sound Editing and why Bohemian Rhapsody's win for Sound Editing is so much more egregious than its win for Sound Mixing?

Re: Trivia

None of the acting winners has ever lost an acting nomination. Three won their first Oscars on their first nomination, and, the fourth won his second Oscar on his second nomination.
